Cannibal Corpse issue statement on guitarist Pat O’Brien’s arrest

On 10th December, Cannibal Corpse’s guitarist Pat O’Brien was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and burglary.

O’Brien was detained for invading a neighbour’s home, pushing the female homeowner to the ground and assaulting a deputy officer – all while his home caught fire and ammunition inside exploded.

The death metal guitarist was released on a crowdfunded $50,000 bond.

80 guns, several flamethrowers, three skulls and thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in his home following a search warrant.

Now, Cannibal Corpse have broken their silence on the incident, releasing an official statement via Facebook – read it below.

“As a band and as individuals, we all want nothing but the best for our brother and partner, Pat. While we can offer no further information about the incident, we wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates the love and support from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world.

“Pat is currently with family and friends and looks forward to a healthy return at some point. For anyone wondering, all Cannibal Corpse touring will happen as planned and all shows will be played.”

Cannibal Corpse will open for Slayer on their tour and will be headlining the Decibel Magazine tour in 2019.
