Fans of the weird, rejoice! DOOM PATROL #12 finally releases this week! ComicsVerse has the exclusive preview pages to share with you, courtesy of DC Entertainment!

It may feel like it’s been ages since we’ve seen a proper DOOM PATROL comic, and that’s because it has been! The “Milk Wars” crossover event ended in February, and DOOM PATROL #11 hit stores back in April of this year. Since then, we’ve seen every other book in the DC’s Young Animal imprint come to a close.

The Waiting Is the Hardest Part

The drought is over, friends. We have finally some more DOOM PATROL to sink our teeth into! To be honest, it’s quite fitting that this issue comes out on Halloween. Though, it isn’t exactly spooky. In the preview pages below, this DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS-esque issue of DOOM PATROL could inspire you to dress up and get your role-playing adventure on.

DOOM PATROL #12 takes place in the Daemonscape. Here, Lucius must fulfill his mystical destiny with the help of his parents, Sam and Val. DOOM PATROL readers have followed this family for some time now, but we’ve never seen them like this. Lucius must use his magical instincts, and some pretty rad song lyrics, to get his family through the Daemonscape.

The rest of the issue will propel the Reynolds family towards their role in the “Milk Wars.” As you may remember, Lucius and co. swept in to save the day during the crossover event. They then retreated back into the Daemonscape to continue their own adventure. In DOOM PATROL #12, we get a taste of what they were up to both before and after this cameo of sorts.

The creative team on this issue is Gerard Way, Nick Derington, Jeremy Lambert, Dan McDaid, Tamra Bonvillain, and Todd Klein.
